Joined R.I.T., Department of Architecture, Pampady as Assistant Professor in 2014 and currently occupying the same post at C.E.T. Involved in research on the vernacular and traditional architectural history of Kerala.Author of ‘The King’s Craftsmen’, a book which documents the history of the extinct craft of ivory carving in Kerala.Contributes articles for ‘The Hindu’ on history, art, architectural and cultural heritage.

Area of Interest
Research experience in the area of traditional craftsmen communities, vernacular and traditional architectural history, human settlements and migration patterns, architectural and cultural history of monuments, fine arts etc.
Select Research and Professional activities
Authored a book titled ‘The King’s Craftsmen – The History of Ivory Carvers of Thiruvananthapuram’ (published in 2016 by the Kerala Council for Historical Research). The work explores a social domain hitherto unstudied or marginalized, that too a craftsperson community that for various historical reasons that left little written evidence.
Coordinated ‘Transformative Pedagogy in Architecture’, DTE funded course at Dept. of Architecture, College of Engineering Trivandrum, November, 2016.
Invited by theDept. of Town and Country Planning, Govt. of Kerala (2016), to lecture on ‘Need for Conservation and Landscaping in Town Planning’.
Invited by State Archaeology Department, Govt. of Kerala (2017), to deliver a lecture on the topic ‘Architecture of Padmanabhapuram Palace’, in connection with the Guide Training Program, Padmanabhapuram Palace.
Delivered an invited public lecture ‘Heritage Revisited’ on Architectural Conservation and the process of Heritage Listing, conducted by IIA, Kollam (2016).
