Architect/ Academician, into teaching from 2007. He has more than 5 years International Teaching Experience in Dubai, UAE (Edexel University London, UK) and 3+ years Industry experience in Architecture, Interior Design and Product Design (Fountainhead04 Bangalore & Godrej and Boyce Mfg Co LTd, Bangalore). He completed B Arch (2004) from College of Engineering Trivandrum (University of Kerala) and M.Arch (2017) with FIRST RANK from IIT, Roorkee. FLAIR International Fellow – got selected for International Internship in Higher Education Academy, UK and Arts University Bournemouth, UK. Faculty Trainer in NIASA/ COA TRC, academic training and research wing by Council of Architecture & FLAIR (Department of Higher Education, Government of Kerala). Conducted several Induction trainings in different parts of India for teachers on Pedagogy and Innovative teaching Methodologies.
Research Interest/Area of Interest
Architectural Design Pedagogy, Innovative teaching methodologies, Crime prevention through design, Urban Design, Design for Human Inclusion (Universal Design and Accessibility Planning), Architectural Psychology/ Behaviour in Built Environment, Design Methodology, Interior Design/ Product Design.
Awards/ Achievements
2013 – Selected as trainer for NIASA (National Institute of Advanced studies in Architecture), for taking sessions to teachers of architecture across India.
2014 – Secured First rank in Technical Education Department & 13th rank in all over Kerala – Technical Education & Collegiate Education for the FLAIR International Internship Interview conducted by FLAIR (Fostering Linkages in Academic Innovations & research ) – new initiatives from Higher Education Department, Government of Kerala
2014 – Conducted a session on FLAIR International Internship to 200 NTFs across UK (April 2014) through Virtual participation at ANTF Conference Birmingham, UK (Association of National teaching fellows, UK)
2014 – Selected as a Trainer for FLAIR induction trainings, for taking sessions across Kerala higher Education department
2017 – Secured FIRST RANK for M.Arch (with highest c.g.p.a in Department of Architecture & Planning at IIT Roorkee, with first in three semesters)
Collaborative projects
Collaborative academic linkages _ Co-ordinated Virtual Collaborative design studio with 40 B.Arch Students of CET and 35 Interior Design Students of Arts University Bournemouth, UK. The students exchanged creative ideas with their partner overseas with the help of social media (facebook, watsapp, skype etc) and the students in Kerala designed a kiosk in UK and students in UK designed a kiosk in Kerala. Final works were exhibited in an online portal of the Arts University Bournemouth. .
