I have put in twenty three years of service in teaching, research, consultancy and administration in the Department of Technical Education, Government of Kerala.

My major assignments include:

•  Head, Hydraulics Engineering Division

•  Supervisor for Four Ph. D students

•  Co-ordinator for four research projects

•  Nodal Officer, Academics, Technical Education Quality Improvement Programme (TEQIP) (World Bank Aided Project), Government of India

•  Additional charge as observer to assist the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations in processing results and allotment of seats.

National and International level activities:

Paper presentation at International Conference of IAHR at Langkawi , Malaysia in 1996, 59 th and 60 th R&D Sessions of CBIP conducted at New Delhi , 18 th Int. Conference on Fluid Mechanics & Power, New Delhi .

I have been serving as reviewer for research papers in Journal of Institution of Engineers. I am in the Director Board of IDRB, State Govt. of Kerala. I am also member of Faculty of Engineering & Technology, in the University of Kerala .

 
Brief on activities for institution development:

A. During the last five years

•  Serving as Nodal Officer (academics) , the responsibilities include coordinating faculty and Staff development programme, Programmes under Networking and Services to Community. Furnishing the progress report of the TEQIP project in every six months. .

•  Serving as the Professor for PG Courses for the last four years.

•  Responsible for revision of Scheme, Regulations and syllabi for the existing M. Tech Course

•  Played a Key role during accreditation Process and for obtaining Accreditation for all UG and PG Programmes of The Institute

•  Serving as Head of the Hydraulics Engineering Division and responsible for developing Centre for Water Resources Management.

Performance Appraisal during past three (3) years:

I am the coordinator for several projects funded by AICTE and State Govt bodies. I am coordinating the academic activities of the college functioning as nodal officer of the academic committee. I had been the coordinator for revision of syllabus for M.Tech courses and reorientation of scheme by converting it to a credit and grade system. I am also coordinating the admission of M.Tech students for the Civil Engineering Course. I have been recognized as a reviewer of technical papers by Institution of Engineers and research projects by KSCSTE. I have been invited for giving lectures at conferences and workshops. I am the coordinator for Networking between Department of Civil Engineering, IIT, Madras and College of Engineering , Trivandrum . I have been coordinating all academic activities related to PG programme in this institute as dean PG Studies. I am working as Registrar for the world bank Project. I am also now controlling officer for all adiministrative works of the institute
