K C Raveendranathan received his B.Sc. (Engg.) in Electronics & Communication Engineering from University of Kerala (College of Engineering Thiruvananthapuram) in First Class with Distinction in 1984 and M.E. in Electrical Communication Engineering from Indian Institute of Science Bangalore in 1993, majoring in Optical/Computer Communications.
He obtained doctorate degree in Engineering for his research on ”Analysis and Design of a Neuro-Fuzzy Controller in the Context of Mobile Cellular Channel Equalizers" from the University of Kerala in 2011.
He was a Member, Research staff at Broadcast Transmitters R&D, Bharat Electronics Limited Bangalore, during March 1985 to June 1988. He joined as a faculty of Electronics and Communication Engineering at College of Engineering Thiruvananthapuram in June 1988, got promoted as Assistant Professor in 1994 and Professor in 2001. Dr Raveendranathan was on deputation to Centre for Development of Imaging Technology (CDIT) Thiruvananthapuram during 1989-1990.
He was promoted as Principal in September 2011 and worked in Government College of Engineering Kannur till June 2013. He was on deputation to LBS Institute of Technology for Women Poojappura and worked there as Principal during June 2013 to June 2016.
He teaches Signals & Systems, Analog Communication Systems, Digital Signal Processing, Digital Image Processing, Fuzzy Systems, and Soft Computing.
His research interests include Signal and Image Processing, Wireless Communications, Fuzzy Engineering, and Modelling and Simulation of Communication Systems. He has about 25 publications to his credit, including five text books. For a detailed biography see:
