• CET TBI

  College of Engineering Trivandrum-Technology Business Incubator (CET-TBI) has been established with a mission of promoting innovative ideas and transforming in-house research developments into commercially-feasible technologies for the benefit of society. CET-TBI is the initiative of College of Engineering Trivandrum supported by the Govt. of Kerala and Department of Science & Technology, Government of India. CET-TBI in on the process of supporting incubation of companies that focus on the business opportunities of indigenous and innovative technologies. CET-TBI looks forward for interested young entrepreneurs from the state of Kerala and are willing to provide basic infrastructure to start and flourish their business under CET-TBI.

   

  The objectives of CET-TBI include:

  • Assist prospective entrepreneurs in nurturing their technology ideas and promote successful corporate entity at pre-startup and startup stages.
  • Promote innovation among budding engineers trained by the institution.
  • Commercialize the ongoing research undertaken by various departments of College of Engineering Trivandrum (CET).
  • Spot and nurture entrepreneurial talents from among the students of CET.
  • To act as a forum for industries and organizations to discuss, plan, develop and execute projects where they benefit from intellectual, instructional and hi-tech infrastructure of CET.
  • Undertake advanced technology research with the objective of building intellectual property (IP) for eventual commercialization.

  The activities of the CET-TBI are managed by the Principal, Dr. V. Gopakumar and the activities are being coordinated by Dr. D. Bijulal. The mentoring of the entrepreneurs are being done by the department teams for the student entrepreneurs. CET-TBI make use of the service of Mr. Ramesh C. Dutt as the consultant who sit with the promising entrepreneurs to help them workout the business plan and make them realistic and viable.
